Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is a American as well as a Canadian musician and singer. She has released more than 20 albums. DiFranco describes her music under the terms folk-rock and alternative. However, it includes influences like punk, hip-hop, and jazz. Ani DiFranco is widely recognized as a feminist icon, and Grammy-winning artist is considered the founder of DIY music. It was one of the very first musicians to start her own label in the year 90. DiFranco was born on the 23rd of September 1970, in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Dante Americo DiFranco.
