Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
Having been first drawn by the shadows of trees she spotted in the grass, she set about studying a method that did not convey the selected object in a two-dimensional form on canvas. The object becomes a representation that is its own and the canvas carries the painterly interpretation of the object, particularly in the case of a living object or perishable like people or fruit. Alexa Meade's work is ephemeral and the image is the only thing that remains. Both photographic and painting techniques are so tightly coordinated and result in a flat, two dimensional space which is able to achieve trompe-l'oeil. In this, the third dimension can only be seen in specific areas, such as near the eyes or in hair. Occasionally, Meade integrates her painted models with the 3-dimensional world around them, allowing the models to be part of this self-created world. In this way, she blurs the lines between painting, photography, performances and installations.
